## A special way to stay close to your friends

Waffl started with a problem I felt in my own life: I wanted to keep up with the people I love, but social feeds made connection feel passive, noisy, and easy to postpone. I built Waffl out of love on weeknights and weekends because I wanted a smaller, more intentional ritual to exist.

### How it works

Friends and family create a private group and share one video update each week. The feed resets every week, creating a recurring ritual focused on staying close rather than publishing for an audience.

- Private groups for the people you actually want to hear from.

- One weekly video update, with a shared deadline.

- A feed that resets every week.

- Reactions and comments without ads, algorithms, or an infinite feed.

### What I built

I took Waffl from a personal frustration to a live iOS app, working across the product, interaction design, visual design, engineering, and release. It is intentionally small: the product is designed around reciprocity and closeness, not engagement for its own sake. I did all of this independently.
